These sound like a nutritious and hearty snack, the flavors sound savory and mouthwatering :). I'd like to include your adapted recipe on our blog. Please let me know if you're interested.

My Bug Life - Thanks very much for your visit and comment!!

Joan Nova - Thanks!

Jule - Wow, I am so glad you tried out the recipe. The feedback is wonderful, so thank you! I will adjust the cumin amount in the recipe (at first I thought it was slightly bland, so I kicked it up a notch). Garlic would be a great idea, too!

Great recipe! I made these last night and they were really easy and delicious. But I think 2 tbsp cumin is way too much! I only put 1 tbsp and it was still a little too much for me (and I like cumin!).
Any thoughts on using garlic in this? I think I'll try that next time.

What a great posting. I have a Mediterranian Food Market available in our city. I was so intrigued by your recipe that I went out to purchase the lentils. I do hope my turn out to look as delicious as your photo.

Kim - Great idea, I hadn't thought of the different colors as a natural decorative method :)

Diana - Good catch there. I meant to turn off the heat!

does "let it rest" mean turn off the heat that was formerly under the lentil pot?

These sound really good, lentils come in several colors so if one was making a very large bunch, using the different colors could create a rainbow of these balls.
